Greg Mulholland used an opportunity during the final debate of this parliamentary session to criticise the Government's record of investing in public transport in Leeds.
Greg said the Government's record on public spending in Leeds and Yorkshire as a whole was disgraceful.
"I wanted to bring to the attention of the House, yet again the problems of public transport in Leeds
People in Yorkshire and the Humber are sick of being rooted firmly to the bottom of the Government's public spending league table.
Since the decision was taken not to give us a tram we have seen reductions in some bus routes and a failure to introduce desperately needed additional carriages on trains.
I think we have a right to feel somewhat neglected when it comes to public transport spending and I intend to keep pressuring the Government on this issue."
