MULHOLLAND DELIGHT AT HEART SUCCESS

Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West has expressed his delight at the decision by Leeds City Council to support Headingley Development Trust's HEART project at the former Headingley Primary School.

Greg Mulholland celebrates the success of HEART with local residents and councillors.

The project, which will introduce a multi-purpose community centre on the site of the old school, has had strong support from Greg as well as local Councillors and residents.

Greg is hopeful that schemes such as this will benefit Headingley in the long term, encouraging families and graduates to stay in the area.

Commenting, Greg said:

"Having been heavily involved in the HEART campaign from the beginning I am absolutely delighted to see it awarded funding by the Council

"This is a hugely important project for the area and I would also like to congratulate members of the Headingley Development Trust for the hard work that they have put in to HEART.

"I look forward to working with local Councillors and members of the HDT, in the future, to ensure that this hugely important scheme is a success that local residents can enjoy and be proud of."
