LOCAL MP TABLES MOTION CELEBRATING LEEDS RHINOS' STUNNING VICTORY12.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 6th Oct 2008 Local MP and Vice-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Rugby League, Greg Mulholland, has tabled a motion in Parliament celebrating Leeds Rhinos' victory in the Super League Championship this weekend. The motion commends the fact that the Rhinos are the only major club in Leeds to win back to back championships in any sport, and the only Rugby League club to win the World Club Challenge in the Super League Final in the same season. Commenting Greg said: "This is a fantastic achievement for the club, and for the city. "To win back-to-back championships and to win the Challenge Cup and the Super League in the same season is amazing, and proves that the Rhinos are the best team in world rugby league right now. "I am sure that the Rhinos will continue to build upon this success, and here's to them making it three next year!" ENDS
