Greg Mulholland delighted to hear Pool residents are set to receive compensation

11.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Thu 11th Sep 2008

Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West is delighted that local residents affected by the Pool blackout will receive compensation form YEDL. Many lost contents of fridges and freezers and some lost a full days work.

Greg intervened after one resident claimed that workers sent to restore power were refusing to do so due to industrial action. "I am delighted that Pool residents have been compensated. I was pleased to take up this issue on behalf of residents and pleased to have had a positive response".

"What happened was unacceptable but credit to YEDL for responding so quickly".
