LEEDS MP URGUES LOCAL RESIDENTS TO ATTEND POST OFFICE MEETING

1.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 10th Jun 2008

Greg Mulholland MP for Leeds North West has called on the residents of Bramhope to support the campaign to save their local Post Office by coming along to a public meeting at Bramhope Primary School this Thursday at 7.30pm

Greg will be joined at the meeting by Councillor Barry Anderson,a representative from the Parish Council and also representatives from the Post Office Ltd.

Greg said" I urge local residents will come along to show their support for keeping the Post Office open - It is important that if we are to keep this local service, we all speak with one united voice against the proposed closure.

Greg added "These Post Office closures are wrong and completely unnecessary. Closing Bramhope Post Office will leave many local people with real difficulties getting to a Post Office and will be most detrimental to the elderly, many of whom are very reliant on it."
