"CAMPAIGN TO SAVE OUR POST OFFICES GOING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH" - MULHOLLAND

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 19th May 2008

Local MP Greg Mulholland believes the campaigns to save Weston Lane and Bramhope Post Offices is gaining momentum. The petitions which Greg will present on the floor of the House of Commons and to Royal Mail are available from many local shops as well as from the Post Offices themselves.

Greg who is working with local residents to oppose the closures said "I am really pleased to see so many local people back the Post Office Campaigns. I would urge people to continue to support the campaign by putting up a poster (available from the Post Office) and if you live in Bramhope by coming along to the public meeting on the 12th June"

Greg has also taken the fight to save the local Post Offices to Westminster by laying down a Parliamentary Motion.

Greg said "I think it's important to take the local campaign to Westminster and this motion is a good way of doing this."
