LOCAL MP CELEBRATES CARLTON KENNELS FAMILY FUN DAY

Local MP Greg Mulholland, celebrated a Carlton Kennels Family Fun Day on Saturday with his family and was delighted to draw the day's raffle.

The annual community event, which organisers estimate attracted over 1000 people, is thought to have raised more than £5000 for charity following a day of fine weather.

Now in its third year, the Fun Day hosts a range of fun and games for all the family, with donkey rides, a bouncy castle and dog judging all proving to be big favourites.

Commenting Mr Mulholland said

"Carlton Charity Fun Day is a lovely day for all the family, 2 legged and 4 legged members alike!

"Well done to all of the organisers, who worked tirelessly to put make sure this event was a success.

"Not only did the day provide a great atmosphere with good weather it raised money for important charities The Dogs Freedom Project and The Cardiomyopathy Association."
