Commenting following the news that Nick Clegg has won the Liberal Democrat leadership contest, Nick's Liberal Democrat colleague and fellow Yorkshire MP, Greg Mulholland, said:

"I am delighted that the right man for the job has won.

"Nick will lead the party with passion, drive and commitment, and he is absolutely the right choice to overturn the cosy two party consensus in Westminster and beyond.

"It is now time for us to move forward with a new dynamic leader, and communicate our distinct vision of a fairer, freer and greener Britain to the people of this country."
