LEEDS MP DELIVERS PETITION TO HEALH BOSSES AND PARLIAMENT

Leeds MP, Greg Mulholland, has delivered a petition with over 5,000 signatures to the Government formally on the floor of the House of Commons today calling for the future of Wharfedale Hospital to be secured. The petition was also presented to local health bosses in Leeds on Monday.

Commenting Mr Mulholland said:

"The Wharfedale Hospital provides a vital local service and its future must be secured and by presenting this petition which has been signed by over 5,000 local people, local bosses will have to sit up and take notice.

"More, by presenting this to Parliament the Government will have to listen to the views of the people in our area. "It is vital that the future of Wharfedale Hospital is secured. It provides an essential service to local people, and they depend upon it. Local people have made it clear will not accept further cuts."
